Football Update

Handfull of football pictures from the past few weeks. Gorgeous light is, of course, harder and harder to come by as the season goes on. Pretty soon it's going to be nothing but poorly lit fields and camera noise. I've been trying to look for more quiet moments and such that go beyond the action on the field. Hopefully more of those will be in the next update. Comments and criticism always appreciated.

High School Sports

With summer ending and school getting ready to start in Saginaw, so too are the sports. Most of this week was spent covering the ones that are starting, especially football. No doubt I'll have plenty more Friday Night Lights posts as the season goes on. For now, I'm putting a couple of pictures here to hopefully see growth from the first games of the season all the way through the playoffs. Wish the photo staff luck!

A quick assignment turned into a seven hour ordeal, thanks to a malfunctioning draw bridge. Get on the boat, she said. It will be fun, she said.

Overtime

I worked almost 10 hours worth of overtime this week, but don't have much to show for it as far as personal work goes. This week was all about getting stuff the paper needs, which happens from time to time. Football mugs and election coverage mostly. Below are a few frames I liked from when I wasn't doing those things.

Here's a large overdue update that was slowed down by a very tame couple of weeks before this one. Everything picked up again after that. Here's hoping for more of the same this upcoming week.

Missed a week of updates so I have a bit more than usual. It's been eventful, with the 4th, shooting golf for the first time, and trying to make nothing assignments into something visual. Hope you all enjoy.
